A professor of toxicology, Ian Cotgreave has studied the toxicity of drugs and environmental chemicals, and their impact on living organisms, for many years.

As Director of Strategic Scientific Development within the Swedish Toxicology Sciences Research Centre, he works to stimulate international efforts to develop new models for chemical risk assessment.
